Zierenbergs and Tucker

It works out nicely when someone has kids the exact same age as yours. 

We had a get together with the Zierenbergs. 

Kandrea came over for Lauren.  Maddie came over for Rachel and Reed came over for Matthew. 

 

One of the kids summer jobs was to dog and house sit for the Hendersons.  (Our Bishop)  So we kept their handsome dog Tucker at our house for a couple of weeks and he kept Duke company.  And then the kids took turns riding their bikes to the Hendersons to water the lawn, get the mail and feed their cat. Matthew looks like he was loving life surrounded by dogs.

Tiger Lady on Wipeout

 

So a friend of mine made a little bet or dare with her children, which ended up with her auditioning for Wipeout and then MAKING it.  Yep, she is known as the Tiger Lady now and she made it to the final 6. Natalie Zierenberg is so awesome.

Jungle Book Musical-Lauren

Lauren went to see her good friend, Jacey, play Gretta in the Sound of Music at the Bakersfield Christian High School and it inspired her to want to do the same. Which surprises me because she turns off as soon as she is on stage. She loves to entertain and perform and she is good at it but in front of a lot of people it freaks her out a little bit. But we thought we would give it a try and we sent her to a Musical Production Camp this summer where she was able to perform the Disney Jungle Book. She was a monkey and an elephant, but not only did she sing and do a little dancing, she had a speaking part too.

We are so proud of you Lauren.  You did a great job.  And it was even more special because Grandma and Grandpa Cannon were able to be here and watch her.

 

The Secret Water Slide

Our last Friday before school starts and some friends, the Christensen's and the Krausse's took us to a secret natural water slide. I tried to take notes as to where we were going but doubt I'd ever be able to get back there again by myself. It was super cool, literally. The water was cold but was a fun-filled day that ended our summer. It was so much fun, we were all exhausted. Which made for an exciting ride home that was long and whinding. And yes, Lauren DID throw up ALL over the place. The End!

The 3rd Annual Monarch Palm Block Party

Yes, it is that time of year again. Monarch Palm's 3rd Annual Block Party. It keeps getting bigger and better. MP Rocks!! We even have former MP'ers travel half way across the U.S. to attend this Party.  We love you all!!!
