Super Bowl 2013

This is how we roll on Monarch Palm. Lots of food, Great neighbors and A JumboTron - It started out to be a great night until the Baltimore Ravens beat the San Fransico 49ers 34-31.

 

New Year's Eve 2012!

WOW! Can't believe 2012 is already coming to an end!

 

We hosted a youth party before the youth dance on New Year's Eve.  Here are a few of the partiers.  We had plenty of goodies, games and I made them some fruit smoothies that they kept wanting more of.  I heard the dance was "good."

After the big kids left (Ethan) and (Matthew spent New Year's Eve with his friend Brennan), we (the rest of us) headed over to the neighbors for another party with some Just Dance and Karaoke and LOTS more goodies.  The countdown to 2013 was accompanied by Ricardo and a very nice blessing and sweet wishes for us all in our new year.  Love our neighbors!

Monarch Palm Adult Christmas Party

Merry Christmas from MONARCH PALM!

 

Our 3rd Annual MP Adult Only Christmas Party was a Party. (Althougth we sure did miss a few people) This year we started with appetizers at the Rodriquez home then our delicious prime rib dinner was hosted by the Dolans. The setting was beautiful and the company, as always, was fantastic. We finished the night back the Rodriquez home with a photo shoot, dessert and white elephant gifts. Steve and I came home with a Justin Bieber music playing toothbrush, an aluminum wallet and $20 bill.

Monarch Palm Kids Christmas Party

Another successful MP Kids Christmas Party. As tradition goes, we decorated Christmas sugar cookies, had hot chocolate, played minute to win Christmas games, this year we had a pot luck and then Santa Claus came to visit. We had about 15 kiddos and their parents.
This is what I remember most: That Jacob loved Santa and that Matthew asked Santa for a Red Farari, a 100,000 square foot house and Selina Gomez tickets.

Our kind neighbors, Amber & Ricardo, are hooked on Cross Fit and have encouraged Ethan to do the same.  Ethan loves it.  I love it because he loves it and my neighbors take him to and from his workouts.  Can't get any better than that! 

 

 

Ethan's FIRST Dance

It was the day of Ethan's first dance and he wasn't really into going.  We were at our neighbors birthday party/Big BBQ and a few of the dads were encouraging him to go.  One of them even said he would give him a dollar for every girl he danced with.  Well, that did it.  He quickly got ready and off he went.  This is a picture of him after the dance.  I'd say he had a great time.  Look at the grin from chin to chin.  He could count at least 16 girls that he danced with.  So FUN!!!

MP 2012 Summer Pool Parties

We weren't able to go to as many summer pool parties as we have in the past.  But we are so thankful for the wonderful neighbors that we have been blessed with.  I just love how we accept each other for who we are no matter what our differences.  And all the kids get along so well and all my neighbors know how to cook and have a good time.

 

Independence Day 2012

We were lucky enough to have Grandma and Grandpa Cannon with us this year for the 4th of July. Grandpa woke up and went Ethan and I to help the Scouts and YW set up flags as part of a fundraiser we just started. For a small donation you get a flag in your yard for 6 patriotic holidays.

What a Deal!!!!! and Oh how Beautiful it is to see these flags line the streets!!!!!

Our neighbors across the street joined us also.  Their little boy, Arav, is a few months younger than Jacob, but they will be buddies soon.

Our own personal firework show!  It was fun, but not quite as fun or big as the neighborhood firework shows in Texas.  Because you know, EVERYTHING IS BIG IN TEXAS!!!

My dad is always doing something and it is always something nice for someone else.  There was some clumps of cement stuck to our sidewalk that he stopped and took the time to chisel it all off.  Thanks Dad!  It looks great!
