Love it when you have a discount for something and then when you show up you get an even better discount. That just means we get to eat lunch too. I love playing with my kids. I wish I took a picture of the scoreboard, because yes I kinda won.

New Year's Eve 2012!

WOW! Can't believe 2012 is already coming to an end!

 

We hosted a youth party before the youth dance on New Year's Eve.  Here are a few of the partiers.  We had plenty of goodies, games and I made them some fruit smoothies that they kept wanting more of.  I heard the dance was "good."

After the big kids left (Ethan) and (Matthew spent New Year's Eve with his friend Brennan), we (the rest of us) headed over to the neighbors for another party with some Just Dance and Karaoke and LOTS more goodies.  The countdown to 2013 was accompanied by Ricardo and a very nice blessing and sweet wishes for us all in our new year.  Love our neighbors!

Halloween 2012

Halloween started in our front yard with a block potluck before we hit the streets to go trick or treating.  Steve made is famous chili and I made Aunt Lisa's cornbread/cake recipe.  Everyone loves it.  Lots of food, BBQ, delicious desserts and great neighbors. 

This year Matthew was dying for this morph costume so he help pay for it.  Rachel couldn't decide so ended up at the last minute turning into Pajama Girl.  Jacob was a cute little horsey and he galloped to play the part well.  Lauren was Sassy Cheetah girl.  Ethan was a little too mature to dress up until he saw us all going trick or treating and really just had to have some of his own candy.  So he quickly turned into a BYU basketball player and led the pack around the neighborhood.

 

 

 

 

 

Independence Day 2012

We were lucky enough to have Grandma and Grandpa Cannon with us this year for the 4th of July. Grandpa woke up and went Ethan and I to help the Scouts and YW set up flags as part of a fundraiser we just started. For a small donation you get a flag in your yard for 6 patriotic holidays.

What a Deal!!!!! and Oh how Beautiful it is to see these flags line the streets!!!!!

Our neighbors across the street joined us also.  Their little boy, Arav, is a few months younger than Jacob, but they will be buddies soon.

Our own personal firework show!  It was fun, but not quite as fun or big as the neighborhood firework shows in Texas.  Because you know, EVERYTHING IS BIG IN TEXAS!!!

 

Rachel made homemade marshmallows today.  Pretty Good Gooey Stuff!!

My dad is always doing something and it is always something nice for someone else.  There was some clumps of cement stuck to our sidewalk that he stopped and took the time to chisel it all off.  Thanks Dad!  It looks great!

 

Father's Day 2012 & Ethan off to EFY

This years father's day started out at church and then off to LAX to drop Ethan off so he can head to EFY and BYU Basketball Camp ALONE!!!  I guess this father is growing up. 

Since we were over the mountain already, we were able to spend the rest of Father's Day with Steve's Father.  We brought dinner, Lasagna (frozen) and Grandma made dessert. AND we got to see Aunt Sarah too.  So glad we live close to some family.
