Christmas Visit To Great Grandma

Our Christmas Adventures wouldn't be complete without a visit to see Great Grandma.

Vist to Great Grandma

On our way home from Matthew's Soccer Game we were able to vist with Great Grandma Cannon.  She was eating when we got there and to be honest, I had a really hard time trying to find her. She is getting more and more unrecognizeable.  We love our Grandma and want her to be happy so bad.  I don't think she recognizes or understand much of anything these days.  And she just mumbles jiber jabber the whole time we are there. 

Part of our visit included a table dance performed by Jacob for all the folks in the home.  He was quite the entertainer.

Jungle Book Musical-Lauren

Lauren went to see her good friend, Jacey, play Gretta in the Sound of Music at the Bakersfield Christian High School and it inspired her to want to do the same. Which surprises me because she turns off as soon as she is on stage. She loves to entertain and perform and she is good at it but in front of a lot of people it freaks her out a little bit. But we thought we would give it a try and we sent her to a Musical Production Camp this summer where she was able to perform the Disney Jungle Book. She was a monkey and an elephant, but not only did she sing and do a little dancing, she had a speaking part too.

We are so proud of you Lauren.  You did a great job.  And it was even more special because Grandma and Grandpa Cannon were able to be here and watch her.

GREAT Grandma Visit

The girls, Jacob and I visited Great Grandma Rachel.  

Rachel and Lauren gave her a nice massage. 

And everyone enjoyed being visited by baby Jacob.

Grandpa Spendlove's Stay

While Grandma Spendlove and Lisa and girls were out gallivanting the Caribbean Sea for Aubrey's graduation, we were visited by Grandpa Spendlove, Sarah and Stuart and kids.  We love having cousin's around.  There were lots of fun silly moments.  And Steve, Sarah, Stuart and all the kids took a trip up to see the Trail of a 100 Giants in the Sequoia National Park.  Thought it would be a good adventure for Grandpa on the nice paved trails they have.  However, they weren't expecting snow.  I stayed behind with baby Jacob but it looked like they had a good time.
