Rachel Student of the Month- February 2013

This is always an honor to get a phone call from your child's teacher letting you know that they are being honored today during an assembly. And it never fails that I get a call from Rachel's teacher every year. I love this girls dedication. She deserves to get student of the month. So proud of her!!!

This is what her teacher said about her: Rachel is our 6th Grade Student Body Treasurer. She is a responsible student and I can always rely on her to follow directions and to be an example. Rachel is a respectful student who is always on time and ready to learn each day. She strives to do her best in all that she does. On top of being responsible and respectful, Rachel is also honest. She will always tell me when my jokes are not funny. Thank you Rachel for being a great student.

 

 

Totally Cool!

Rachel was trying on her new dress for Rebecca's wedding and these COOL glasses to wear to as we dance the night away at the big party!  She is so CUTE!

Sleeping Baby BOY!

Just one of many I take of this sweet baby boy sleeping. Every night he has to have at least 3 or 4 or more vehicles in his crib with him. He has a toy tractor, dump truck, fire truck, garbage truck, race car, train any kind of motor vehicle attached to him all day and all night.  He LOVES them! And just for the record he does have a few friends that sleep with him too - Lion, Bear, Monkey and Doggy!

Just "Chillaxen"

Not very often does Matthew need a bubble bath after a long day of soccer, but this was one of those days. He is a rockstar out on the soccer field. Way to Go Matthew @ State Cup.

Proof Lauren Practiced the Piano {once}

Ok, I am not sure why I pay to torture myself.  Trying to get my children to practice the piano is like pulling my teeth out, but I'm still going to keep doing it.  This is almost right up there with trying to get Lauren out of bed in the mornings and ready for school.  The joys of parenthood! 

Singing in the Rain

This was soooo sweet! Rachel is a wonderful big sister. She is so good sometimes Jacob prefers her over his Mommy. She is so good to him and steps in as his little mommy all the time. I so appreciate all that she does for me. I just hope I let her know that enough.

There is nothing like running through mud puddles.  They were loving it!

Bowling on President's Day

Love it when you have a discount for something and then when you show up you get an even better discount. That just means we get to eat lunch too. I love playing with my kids. I wish I took a picture of the scoreboard, because yes I kinda won. 

COLOR ME RAD 5K

So, can I just say a lot of FUN!  This was a great way to get my family all out together and running.  Didn't sign Lauren up, I am sorry to say that I lacked enough confidence in her.  But we got there and she wanted to do it.  She had a good friend stay with her the whole way. They walked, ran and piggybacked it.  We were grateful to have hooked up with the Luthi's.  Steve was going to stay with Lauren and Jacob and then was prepared to rescue Lauren if needed, but no need.  He said he walked almost as much trying to see us at the different color stations.  We were sprayed and dusted with different colors of chalk.  And to my surprise, we weren't stained as bad as I thought we would be.
