The Day After

Instead of shopping the day after Christmas, we decided to go where a kid can be a kid, Chuck E. Cheese. Kathy had a coupon to get a 100 tokens for $10. Ten dollars for hours of entertainment for 3 kids is a steal. And this Chuck E. Cheese had cards to swap instead of tokens to carry around. It was great.

Sunset Tradition-Ventura Pier

Another Spendlove Family Tradition is going to the Ventura Pier to watch the Sunset. It seems like we are always running to catch it before it completely disappears. This time it was a little cold, but it was still enjoyed by some. The dad's stayed at the beach for a while with the kids, while the women and babies kept warm in the van chatting while we waited.

Faces of Christmas Gratitude

Another Spendlove tradition is taking turns opening gifts. Which started when Grandma got tired of all the presents being opened at once and not knowing what was from who. And you start with youngest to oldest. I remember the first Christmas I was a part of this, we weren't done opening presents till 2pm. Granted there were a lot of us, but it took forever. However, now I love it and it is a tradition that we carry out in our own home.
