Halloween '09

Our Halloween started off with us dropping off our oldest at his friends Halloween Party/Sleepover. Is he really old enough already? It was kind of sad not having us all together, but I know this is just a preview of what lies ahead.
The rest of us headed on over to the Annual Trunk or Treat at the church and filled our candy bags to the max, just so we can carry them all around with us as we continued the evening with our neighbors, Trick or Treating.

The weather was perfect and made for a wonderful Halloween.

Our newest neighbor! Yeah, Amber and Mike moved in JUST around the corner, JUST in time for us to move to California. :( Halloween is one of Amber's Favorite Holidays and she goes all out. Had to get a picture of the women in black.

"Horror at Homecoming" Murder Mystery Party

You're invited to go back to high school and join us for a night of Murder, Mystery and Fun. The setting is a High School Homecoming dance and everyone will have a part to play, so get out those old 80's prom dresses/suits and get ready for a night o'fun! Dinner will be provided. Adults only this time!

Total craziness. We had so much fun. Steve played the part of the High School Football Coach and of all things, I tried to play the part of the Captain of the High School Cheerleading Squad. Steve wore a skinny tie and pegged his pants. I wore my high school prom dress. {I know that sounds amazing, well, It wasn't all the way zipped up in the back. In fact, it wasn't even close. But hey, it served it's purpose.}

Me and My DateI just have to say that Jana and David Rice went all out for this. They even painted this backdrop on their front entrance wall. They had the high school name in vinyl lettering on the soap pump in the bathroom. They turned their garage into an old 80's hang out with all the appetizers. Tons of food for dinner. And the homecoming dance hall looked great. They know how to party!

Matthew's Bunny and Popcorn Sales

We took Matthew out quite a few times to sell popcorn for cub scouts. He was on a mission to not only beat his brother's top record, but also to win the Marshmallow archery set and as many other prizes as possible. He did both! He sold about $750 worth and got the archery set and $35 in gift cards to Wal-Mart.
So on one of our trips as we were walking from house to house, Matthew found this little bunny rabbit. And for some reason I let him bring it home. It was a cute a little pet for a little while until it got away. Of all my kids Matthew really needs a pet(like a dog). And we're working on it.

The Cinco Ranch Junior high bands put on a fundraiser dinner. AND the entertainment was the BEST. This was Ethan's first performance in the band. He really wanted to play the DRUMS....so now we have a monstrous marimba in our house. But he is enjoying it all.

This colorful retelling of the story of Joseph, his coat of many colors and his amazing ability to interpret dreams is a musical blockbuster of Biblical proportions!
All that said and done and this was truly AMAZING! And I am not just saying that becuase my nephew, Chris played the best Joseph ever and my nephew Andy wrote the drum music that totally made this performance rock and my neice Emily played a great GoGo Girl that knew how to work it. The costumes, the music, the actors, everything was great. I love love loved it. I am so glad we were able to make it to a performance. Thanks SA Spendloves for a great weekend.

My camera was wigging out and so I wasn't able to get any real cool pictures of the STARS in action, but here they are with the kids.

Knowing that we were moving, we thought we would take another walk through the Alamo and the Riverwalk while we were in San Antonio. The Alamo was closed, but it's the picture that counts anyway. Good times!

Lauren's Firestation Field Trip

I got to help chaperon Lauren's Kindergarten class to the Fire station. It is right next to the school so we had a nice little walk. It is always good to be reminded of all the basic "What to do's" when there is a fire. We had a fun time being together.

Great Grandma in Katy

It was really nice to have her in our home. I just felt bad with all this moving around she was getting lost. She kept forgetting where our bathroom was.
