Lauren's Baptism Dress Photo Shoot

My good friend, Kirsten, was kind enough to take these pictures for me last minute so we could have some pictures of Lauren to frame for her big baptism day.  We just took them in her yard and Lauren was such a natural in front of the camera.  Kirsten said she had so much fun taking her pictures.

Sleeping Beauty Dance Gala

Well this was quite the production for us and little miss Lauren.  She is our dancing queen and so we signed her up with the Civic Dance Center for ballet lessons to start.  It turns out ballet is a little to boring for her.  She loves the hippity hop kind of moves.  And she is pretty good at it too.  But she stuck with the ballet class so she could be in the big Sleeping Beauty Dance Gala.  It was very well done and so glad she was able to be a part of something like this.  She worked hard on remembering her dance and loved getting all dressed up however, when it came time to actually go on stage, we almost had a meltdown.  I stayed with her as long as I could and used every method in the book to try and get her to let go of me.  Then we called Dad who was in the audiance waiting for the show to start and after a lot of tears and a few other mom's words of encouragement, I was able to leave and just cross my fingers that I would be able to see her come out on the stage. 

AND of course she did a great job.  So proud of her!!! We love our beautiful bunny ballerina!!!!

Mom's Wedding Dress

Lauren has been begging me to see my wedding dress.  It was sealed up in a "special" box since 1995.  So decided today was the day to take it out of that box.  Both of the girls had so much fun trying it on.  It actually fit Rachel pretty good.  This dress made me feel like a princess.  I remember looking for my wedding dress and wanting something real simple.  And found what I wanted, but kept looking just a little more and when I tried this dress on it made me feel beautiful.

Father's Day 2012 & Ethan off to EFY

This years father's day started out at church and then off to LAX to drop Ethan off so he can head to EFY and BYU Basketball Camp ALONE!!!  I guess this father is growing up. 

Since we were over the mountain already, we were able to spend the rest of Father's Day with Steve's Father.  We brought dinner, Lasagna (frozen) and Grandma made dessert. AND we got to see Aunt Sarah too.  So glad we live close to some family. 

Magic Mountain bring a friend for free day

I took the girls and their friends, Jacey and Maddie, on Tuesday and then the boys friends, Jaden and Cameron on Thursday.  It was a great week.  Somehow, I didn't get a picture of the Rachel and Maddie, which must mean they were having way too much fun. 

 

 I trip with the boys was extended a little due to a fire heading up the grapevine.  The road was closed and couldn't get home.  So we hung out for a while longer waiting for it to open and then decided to take the long way home.  And ACTUALLY, it wasn't too bad.  Just a late night Jammin out in the car as we were driving through Tehachapi.
